Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Highfield, I was pleasantly surprised by the culinary experience offered. The restaurant's ambiance invites relaxation, with an option to dine alfresco while soaking in the garden view. I decided to explore their gourmet hot sandwich options for lunch, which was a delightful choice. The sandwiches were creatively crafted, a nice balance of flavors that suited my palate well. I had the pleasure of joining the full cooked breakfast on Sunday morning, which I'd heard must be booked a day in advance. For just £5, I found it to be a worthy addition to my stay. The breakfast spread was well-prepared and showcased local ingredients, mirroring my own appreciation for fresh produce and sustainable dining. The room was immense and comfortable, an oasis that made our brief stay feel more like home. It felt refreshing to have a variety of amenities, including a fridge and a workspace, which made it easy to relax after a long day visiting family. I would encourage fellow food enthusiasts to experience what this place has to offer.
